In this context, Dr. Drewes will address the impact of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as well as the draft regulation on electronic communications (e-Privacy Regulation). The lecture will show in a practical way which requirements apply to the use of online marketing.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"container con--para\">\n<p>The presentation will focus on the requirements to be observed in user tracking and re-targeting and whether personalization of websites is feasible without the consent of the person concerned. The e-Privacy Regulation will replace the provisions of Section 15 of the German Telemedia Act (TMG) and impose new requirements on the use of cookies. It is planned to extend the cookie consent requirement for cookies whose operation is not necessary for viewing the websites.
